Polly 7/2012

Rescued from a puppy mill in Missouri where she was sitting in a large water bowl trying to cool herself off from the summer heat to living the good life. Polly is a new arrival who is ready to be joined with a loving home.  Polly is learning to trust people and can be reserved at first. Once you earn her trust she is very affectionate, playful and loving.
 
She has come a long way in a short time; having been house trained, learned how to play with toys and interacts playfully with other dogs. Polly enjoys interacting with people and wants to be petted and played with quite a bit.  However, she can relax as well, and loves her soft bed which she lays on as she guards your feet with attention and vigilance.  In her foster home, Polly has been a good friend to the dog who rules the roost and they play well together.
 
Polly likes a mixture of dry and wet food although she is transitioning to a dry food only diet. She is currently on a grain free food diet and is taking fish oil to improve the condition of her skin and coat. A number of health issues have been rapidly resolving as her ear infections have cleared up, her skin irritations have begun to fade and her overall health has improved dramatically.  Polly was spayed right after she was taken from her former life and she has shown no ill effects.  She is up to date on all of her shots.
 
Every night Polly relaxes more and more into her new surroundings and every day she looks forward to learning more about the world around her.  She is a wonderful addition to any home and is hoping you can come along and give her the loving family she deserves.
