Saturday Rescue Update

All is WELL! They made it back amid torrential storms. The dogs are doing very, very well. They have all eaten, are very playful and well socialized, they are happy and running around in an open area of the barn! More than 25 Volunteers are there right now and we are overwhelmed by the incredible support from all!

Just beginning to give the dogs baths and then stage them for their trips to the vet today. They are well acclimated! All will be heading to their foster homes today!

It is important to note that the foster homes are temporary and once the ones that are pregnant have their litters, we will need foster homes and forever homes for the mom dogs and the puppies. So even though we have foster care now for all of the rescues, we are going to need many more foster homes and MONEY to vet all of the pups.

Sophie

Sophie is 4 1/2 years old and has lived her life as a princess and would benefit dearly with a forever home that has french bulldog experience. She knows how to get away with things by using her cuteness to her advantage! Her first owner passed from cancer and was sold to a second owner who only had her 6 months before realizing that as cute as Sophie is - she is a little spitfire and due to not ever being socialized with other dogs- can be a handful on walks when approaching other dogs- especially for an elderly person.

Faith

Faith is a 2 year old young spirited frenchie girl who was rescued from life in a puppy mill, she was born with no knee caps in her rear legs and yet, they had her in a small cage pumping out litters of puppies for them. When she came into our rescue she had sores on her legs from laying in such a small wire cage and no chance to develop muscles. Since she has been in our care- her sores have heeled, she has gotten stronger and learnt how to walk and run without the ability to bend her back legs. This is how life will be for Faith but she does not let that slow her down.

Hank

Hank is one handsome frenchie boy who is looking for a home that will give him lots of love. He is starting to stand a little and using his rear legs from time to time and may walk one day but he loves his wheelchair too. Hank came into rescue because his owner could not afford therapy for him- Hank woke up one day and was unable to walk.
