Please read ALL of Chance’s bio closely before applying- as we are looking for the perfect home for this miracle boy.
Chance turned 3 in August of this year. His story was he was surrendered by his owner after he collapsed from heat stroke. We weren’t sure he was going to make it while we took him under our care while he was in the er trying to fight for his life. He is truly a miracle dog for not only surviving but coming through it due to the excellent care the er vets provided him and came through it with no neurological or health issues amazingly. With that being said- it is important that whomever is chosen to adopt him has to be aware that he does get over excited easily and even with palate surgery- he has to be kept cool and calm. He is the hairiest frenchie mix we have ever seen and will also need to be groomed often. His adopter MUST HAVE FRENCHIE EXPERIENCE AND AWARE OF OVERHEATING! He has a LOT of energy and loves to play. A FULLY fenced yard IS required and he would most likely do best as an ONLY dog as he does get jealous of sharing affection with other dogs in the home. He does well on walks and is NOT reactive to other dogs. Besides getting worked up easily and the risk of overheating- he has no other medical issues and is fully vetted- neutered- microchipped and has had palate surgery.
He is a character and loves to steal towels and other things-so you have to keep a close eye on him and make sure you don’t have things laying around for him to get in. Although he only weighs 28 lbs- his long body makes him feel heavier. He can jump over a 4 foot gate easily and knock you down when he is doing his zoomies to burn off energy.
He would do best with children that are 15 and older-so no children under the age of 15. He is great in the car when in a crate-otherwise he is bouncing all over and is a major distraction. He is great at the vet and for nail trims.
If you apply for him- be ready for a big hairy ball of energy- as he acts like a mischievous puppy and will jump up into your lap thinking he is the size of a chihuahua. He has lots of love and will shower you with laughter with his antics and is looking for the perfect home to continue to teach him manners and shower him with lots of love.
His adoption fee is $950 and includes his leash and harness as well as some of his current food and also is microchipped. He will not come with a bed, as currently, he feels that is something to urinate on and he is happy to lay on the cool floor.
